Assistant Producer

Description

Flow Video is seeking a temporary, part-time Assistant Producer to join our growing small business. Reporting to the Lead Producer, the Assistant Producer will oversee the planning and execution of 1-2 live event client projects concurrently between the months of July – October 2022. The ideal candidate is supremely organized and quick-moving, able to prepare our clients for their big event – e.g. a Jewish high holiday or a major non-profit gala livestream – and work with a team of contractors and full-time staff to execute on project deliverables on-time and on-budget. The Assistant Producer will report on their projects' progress to the Lead Producer, and also share updates at weekly all-hands meetings, virtually or in-person.

This is a part-time, temporary, remote position with occasional in-person meetings and rehearsals (1-3 times monthly) based in the metro Detroit area. COVID-19 vaccination required.

Qualifications

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience using Google GSuite (Gmail, Drive, Calendar)
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with Mac OS operating system
  • Experience managing projects and/or small groups working towards a common goal

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with live event clients, livestream production crews, and other event stakeholders via phone, email, and Zoom regularly
  • Coordinate scheduling of meetings
  • Assist the project's Technical Director in developing the event Run of Show and Cue Sheet
  • Oversee production crews and ensure they're up-to-speed on event plans
  • Report to the Lead Producer and communicate with them regularly via phone, Zoom, GChat, or in-person
  • Attend in-person rehearsals and day-of event performances to ensure events go smoothly
  • Debrief events with client and give/receive constructive and critical feedback

Compensation & Benefits

  • $35-$45/hour, depending on experience (10-20 hours/week)
